About Esther

I’m a beloved daughter of God – something I’m living into and internalizing more each day, as I learn to receive God’s unconditional love and grace.  I’m a pastor – a declaration that humbles me every time I make it, and a calling that I feel unworthy and privileged to have received.  To be more specific I’m an Elder in the United Methodist Church, Florida conference, and serve a local congregation in the Florida Conference.

I’m Puerto Rican and have lived in Florida since the third grade.  I’m a Millenial.  I love my family and friends deeply as well as my two crazy pets. I enjoy music, singing, musicals, coffee, a good book, watching movies, anything NYC related, good-smelling candles, among other things. I’m inspired by the Wesley brothers (John and Charles), Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Brennan Manning, Henri Nouwen, Mother Theresa, Francis of Assisi, Thomas Merton, Maya Angelou, MLK, Dorothy Day, and many others. I’m passionate about multi-cultural work, justice and missions.

Most importantly I love God.  I hope to always seek to know and love God better, know and love myself better, and know and love those I come into contact better. Trying to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with my God (cf Micah 6:8).

Thanks for contemplating with me-

Esther
